Cowboy Dad Card Tutorial and Video

Hello everyone! Here is the other card I wanted to show you using Out West 2. This is another that I created for the release party last week, so you may have seen it if you were at the party. I made a video and step out photos for this one.

Here is a video I made showing you how to create this card. If you prefer to watch directly at Youtube, click here.

Trim a piece of ivory cardstock to 3 by 5 inches and begin sponging Gina K Sweet Corn ink in the center.

Sponge Gina K Sweet Mango along the bottom of the previous color.

Tear sticky notes and place over the top of the cardstock to serve as a mask. Then sponge Gina K Warm Cocoa ink.

Use more sticky notes, this time with the straight edge, and place slightly lower than the first mask. Sponge more Warm Cocoa ink.

Remove the masks and stamp the cactus image using Gina K Fresh Asparagus ink. Then color in the image using Copic marker YG93.

Stamp the cowboy image using Gina K Black Onyx.

Use a W5 Copic marker to add a shadow to the horse and cactus.

Extend the shadows a bit with Copic marker W1.

Place the barbed wire image on your acrylic block, shaping it into a curve, then stamp with Gina K Black ink. Either rotate the image or reposition it on the block and stamp a second time, so the wire has a different curve.

Stamp the post using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and use E33, E57 and E59 to color.

Stamp the sentiment and adhere to a 5 ½ by 4 ¼ inch card base.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is wonderful!
